Need left hand jam nuts for tie rod ends.?
Need information. Have a 98 Expedition. I need to know if anyone
knows of a retail (auto parts) store in central Ohio where I can buy
left hand jam nuts for tie rod ends. For those who do not know, a
left hand nut is a left hand threaded nut. Need help. Can someone
help?
If you buy a tie rod,or a sleeve it will come with the jam nut. I presume you are talking about the jam nut to the outer tie rod. The inner tie rod has right hand threads.

If the part you need is not readily available at the dealership, you may be able to find a suitable used or refurbished part at a local auto mechanic or salvage yard. There are also car and auto parts for sale online through auction sites or specialty sites dedicated to your type of car.
What to Expect From Your Local Retailer
Local auto repair retail stores will have many of the regular maintenance parts that commonly need to be replaced. You will be able to buy things like belts, hoses, and even smaller engine components like fuel pumps. Not every retailer has access to the same variety of parts. If you need something specific, speak with a clerk to find out if it is something the retail store can acquire for you. Usually the store will be able to give you an idea of where to find the part if they can’t order it for you.
How to Find Parts for Older Cars
Older car parts can be trickier to track down. If your car is over ten years old, your first stop for replacement parts may need to be a salvage yard. Look through your local phone book for salvage yards in your area. Most of them focus on specific types of car parts, like foreign or domestic. Calling around will save you quite a bit of time before you begin to visit salvage yards.

What career options are available for a young man with a felony?
My 24 year old nephew has a felony resulting from a teenage prank – stole auto with friends and went joy riding at 16, what career prospects does he have? I’m concerned. He is a nice young man …but with a past they may very well limit his potential. Currently, he is working on a loading dock for a retail store. It is something meaningful. He is grateful to have the work. His goal is to find work or perhaps his own business which will allow him to live self-sufficiently and comfortably – is not married and doesn’t have children. Currently he lives at home. He does have welding and carpentry skills. I believe he should be able to expand on those skills. I told him to volunteer part-time with habitat for humanity so that he can be of service, make a difference, and network with others that recognize his potential. Volunteering for Habitat is a really good idea. That will put him in contact with others who work in the construction trades.
I would also suggest complete honesty on his part when looking for a job. Having a felony conviction may not automatically disqualify him for getting a job, but lying about it most likely will.
I fellow I know has a possession ion charge (he was found with a joint on him as a teen) that makes it illegal for him to travel to the United States. However, he’s now a helicopter pilot who works around the world (except for the States) for the big name oil companies. His one big regret is that he’s not allowed to go to California to fight the wild fires due to his record.
