Warranty coverage question?
Hi guys, I got a car about 3-4 weeks ago from an Auto Liquidation Center. The warranty I got suppose to cover me for a year for up to 3000 dollars. Now a week ago, the car had a full check and I was told the timing belt needed to be changed. And for that I was charged 700. Now my receipt says,
*Spark Plugs
*Air Filter
*PCV Valve
*Water Pump
*Timing Belt
*Thermostat
*Seal
*3X FAN BELT
*MISC
What I would like to know is which one of these parts are related to the timing belt except the timing belt itself. My warranty covers the timing belt so I guess I could also include parts that involve the replacement. Can I also add the labor for the replacement, thanks guys
Timing belt, Fan belts, Water Pumps, Thermostat & Seal would be part of a timing belt change.
The MISC will be anti-freeze, which needs doing when you change the pump/thermostat.
The rest of the work is part of a Major Service.
